Antea and Wesley were married on Saturday, October 10th in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
What's more fun than a bride getting ready for her wedding ceremony in a mermaid onesie? Probably nothing, except maybe that same bride walking back down the aisle with her husband to the theme song from "Golden Girls".
I met Wesley and Antea my first summer working at Appel Farm Arts Camp in Elmer, New Jersey, which is coincidentally also where they met each other, although several years before my time there. Some people say that artists can't date other artists, but Antea and Wes certainly prove that wrong. The ceremony & reception were held at the Pump House Bed & Breakfast in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania- a fun, quirky property lush with trees. The DIY decor featured hand-built ceramics by the bride herself, including candle holders, cupcake stands, flower vases and dessert dishes printed with a photo of the couple. The reception included a coloring table (for kids and kids-at-heart, featuring photos of the couple as well as photos of their turtles), photo booth, foosball, and a table full of board games. The hangers-on and the remaining wedding party capped the evening with a hat tip to summer camps everywhere- marshmallows and s'mores over an intimate fire.
